I have a soft spot for this song because I wrote it in about 5 minutes without thinking very much. It's a bit difficult to explain but the idea is going straight across a row of days (1 week) on a calendar and then dropping straight down without going back to the left (did that make any sense?)

So what if I delude myself with innocent mistakes
I still have to wait no matter how much time it takes
I'm just trying to give myself a little bit of fun
anyway I don't believe I'm hurting anyone

If I could I'd go to sleep to pass the time away
and hibernate so long as I could wake up on the day
so I close my eyes but I just can't realize
that it won't be long till she's around
